0.04a - sound, transitions & the floor


Hi and welcome to the update log of Carded - 0.04a!

Modular ground

The probably most important thing in terms of game mechanics is the fact that the whole ground now is made up of a bunch of tiles, which can be best compared to Portal/Portal 2 where all the tiles have robotic arms behind them and can be moved. 
The way this is going to be useful in the future is that things like spawning cards, triggering things or some interaction with the world will happen via those tiles. The first rough implementation is the card spawner, marked with a yellow texture on top, that will spawn SD-cards when pressing 'F4'!


Transition

An pretty nice esthetic thing is that changing levels in the game now actually feels fluid. Where before, the world would just plop into place, it now transitions with a nice animation. 
Note that the card actually shows the art (wich is not final in all cases) actually shows the sticker art of, for example, the sandbox mode.


Music

The last most notable thing is that the game now at least has 4 random selected soundtracks, running in the background that are not interrupted by changing scenes. 
These where selected pretty quick and will probably change in the future. But the current ones and the ones that will follow are sure to be made by Substan!    Substan @ Youtube


And for the last part there where quite a lot of bug fixes and optimization that aren't that worth noticing!
